Not, exactly. It is/was the only 5 star hotel that fit our group size, I meant. I looked at over 40 five star hotels in Prague, and the ones in the historic center are tiny (20-70 rooms) - so that does not work for us. And the large chain hotels (InterConti, Hilton, etc.) they got 400-700 rooms - so I cannot rent them exclusively - and I do like to believe that having an entire hotel to ourselves does improve the event overall.

Well, the Praha is the past - the Buddha Bar Hotel is the present :) And after that we will have to just wait and see where the journey leads us next :) Where would you like us to go next? :) :)

Looking forward to seeing all of you in Budapest in September - at what currently appears to turn out to become the largest Summit ever!
Andreas

Wizzo 06-20-2013 07:43 AM

I will miss Prague and looking forward to Budapest as I'm sure Andreas and Walter will pull off a great show as usual! :pimp

Loved Prague... loved Hotel Praha... I'm sure I'll love Budapest and the Buddah Bar hotel as well...

MaDalton 06-20-2013 10:25 AM

i'm sure it was poorly booked by regular guests or tourists - too far from the center

but it was kind of a time travel being in there

Crazy, tho it is kind a unusual why they allowed him to crush as it is some sort of cultural/historic monument, think in my country such thing would not be allowed. And the reason for it's best, how it "cast a shadow " after 5 pm to his house lol

yeah, thats czech republic. the whole hotel have been nominated for cultural monument, or how to say that, and there have been no problem, because of all those interiors and all those treaures inside, but meanwhile the process have been completed, whole interiors have been sold item by item, so at the end the building was not that special so no cultural monument sign, no reason not to sell it ... fucking crap, this is czech republic, welcome lol :1orglaugh :Oh crap :upsidedow

interesting, but what a poorly edited video, with those construction sounds each time they show a picture of how it was. Annoying as fuck and doesn't add anything.

Yes, it is a pity. I started to like it. The hotel kind of grew on you event after event. Not the most beautiful hotel, but definitely "different" :-)

I will be shocked to see how we will fit in this current parkhotel praha that the show is at. I looked at it on google maps, and it's like 12-15 meters wide at most?

https://www.google.pl/maps/@50.10188...m1 !1e1?hl=en

Compare the building width to the width of the red car in the parking there...

It will be fine Konrad. No worries. :)

As you can see only the top of the hotel is that narrow. The ground floor is wider (see the white building more to the right from the main building).

And there is another level below (gets daylight from the other side), and 2 huge terraces, if the weather is nice.

But agreed - it is not the size of the Hotel Praha - that thing was a monster! :)

k0nr4d 08-22-2014 08:24 AM

Is there anything around it? I'm looking on google maps and all I can see is a train station, trams, busses, etc. Any old town or anything near?

It is strange that you worry about such a thing. I mean they know how many people can fit there and would not organize the event if it could not fit the people. It is not like their first organized event, so there is impossible to make such a mistake.

Nothing is impossibe! But, we will be fine. I am sure. The hotel is a lot larger inside than it looks from the outside ;-)

It is about half way between where our old hotel was and the city center. About a 5 minute taxi ride to the center.
