How Many Domains Do You Own?
 

I just made a bulk purchase yesterday which brings my count to a little over 300 domains. I wasn't unaware that the count had risen to that number, but when I sat down and made a document to track each domain's income, it took me such a long time to create that it hit me, that's a lot of domains. Although, it's probably still small compared to some of you.

So, I'm just curious, how many domains do you own? Do you even keep track and count anymore?

Some good regional domains over the years that I have let go - I work more with other peoples domains than my own these days.....

Did you cut down to focus on the most profitable?

As I continue to work for other people instead of myself I look for automated solutions to squeeze even a small profit out of the domains I have. I will make cuts if they don't pay for themselves any more.

34 domains.

I've slimmed down to about 80 from around 300. If I had owned it more than a few years and had never done anything with it, I let it expire unless it was an exceptionally good name. I sold around 60 with developed websites several years back too. $8 a pop adds up.

Around a 1000, give or take.

About 50. But mostly just on parking.

I knew we'd see some x,xxx numbers. Are they all developed?

I wonder if there are any people who aren't strictly domainers that have xx,xxx numbers?

1,500 is way down...wow. What was your maximum?

I would say 95% are developed, I have never sold any so I don't buy them for that.

Around 1,300. 95% built.

maybe around 100 but i'm slimming down - I want to get the number down to about 20 or so

Whats the point of having 300 domain when earning is not even covering the cost of domain

Down to about 2,000. Only about 1% are adult and I mostly sell domains - only develop some.

I have 136 domains

If you build a site and it doesn't make at least $10/yr then you're in the wrong business. Most domains make their registration fee, and beyond that yearly if developed.

Now imagine having 1500 domains all making say $10/mo... Now you're making $15,000. Having lots of sites making low revenue seems more appealing now doesn't it?

Currently I have around 1800 left. I let a ton expire and have sold off quite a few.

Down to about 80-90 sold a few and bought a few this year

About 220 now, I had well over 2,000 a few years ago. I just kept the most profitable ones, and a few good names that I'd like to build up.

I used to have more than 1300.......now a handfull......

I remember reading in the old days that if you knew how many you had......you had not enough!

In the neighborhood of 400 down from a high of roughly 3,500.. Will continue to decline to the 200 range.

Sure, just register one million domains; now you're making $10 million/month. Dunno why everyone doesn't do it.

300+ 99% developed - should be 100% but not sure of that as would have to run through all of them and would rather buy more.

tbh no - I have been letting domains that got panda/penguin-ized drop (few hundred), and am mid-refocusing. Making decisions on what direction to take now etc - basically I'm adapting (as I very nearly died, biz-wise) :thumbsup

10 years ago, I had 40,000+ .coms registered with enom.
Now I have 20 domain names and mostly for just 1 or 2 websites.
