wizzart 06-06-2013 08:39 AM

I'm not sure is this google dance or penguin update?

jimmycastor 06-06-2013 08:46 AM

no matter how they name it, it just hurts :disgust
guess its a gangbang with panda and penguins

wizzart 06-06-2013 08:59 AM

If it's google dance for 2-3 days everything will come back to normal, if it's penguin update this is the end and should move to next project.

Fat Panda 06-06-2013 09:21 AM

jimmycastor 06-06-2013 09:44 AM

jimmycastor 06-06-2013 09:45 AM

this one is nasty...

wizzart 06-06-2013 10:28 AM

It's all because links building, but with this penguin algorithm positing in google SERP can become very nasty game because everyone can very harm competition's site with massive unwanted link building.

In my case I'm that who was make mistake, but what if tomorrow I put footer link in 10 sites that have 50K+ indexed pages to your site, you also can lose your SERP. I'm not planing to do that to anyone but I'm afraid to tomorrow someone don't do it to me. Just asked in Google Webmaster Central did they think about that and waiting for answer.

for some strange reasons I would actually like you to inform us about the answer you are about to receive. thank you.

rogueteens 06-06-2013 02:44 PM

did anyone really think that the "adjusted" penguin/panda/whatever update would benefit anyone except youtube and dailymotion?

for this about unwanted link solution is to use

https://www.google.com/webmasters/to...nks-main?pli=1

for this SERP drop it's all about backlinks, actually problem is when site getting too much links in short time. I was analyze 10 sites that owners are report big lost of google SE traffic and all of them (and my site too) have very high backlinks grove in few day.

In my case I was link from my domain, so I can remove that links, but I really don't have much hope that can recovery. At least I know where is problem and will move to another project and not repeat same mistake again.

Penguin 2.0 is made to detect low quality backlinks and it's amazing how much sites are affected.

talk the other day.. the talk was it's going to be 'monthly'.. but wild rumour

deltav 06-06-2013 04:07 PM

Yup for my paysite's main search term (had top 3-5 Google placement for years until last autumn) the #1 placement goes to a massive free site with tons of content (and actually a dupe listing for them at #2 also) then turns into basically:

Youtube, Youtube, Youtube, some random site, Pinterest, Twitter, some random site, Dailymotion, Youtube, Alexa, Wikipedia, some random site, Amazon, Xvideos, etc. I'm holding onto the 3rd page now and am the first paysite listed, but aside from these results sucking my bottom line they're just shite quality from a surfer POV too, aside from nailing a giant free site at #1.

Essentially what they're doing is saying these large-scale social networking aggregate sites are what people want to see, rather than actual content. Maybe this will push surfers towards other SEs (yeah right).

I second that.

I have seen a sudden increase of traffic during the last 24 hours.

It looks like the SEO Themes and Plugins I added to my blogs are doing its job.
