long range wireless router which one to buy ?
 

hi all.,

i need wireless router with 1000mw or 2000mw so i can hook it external antenna like 24 dbi directional antenna and increase wifi range ....

any suggestions ?

Don't know about routers. But I like my USB Alfa External Network Adapter.

yeah, seen that b4, they have their 2000mx version too i guess., fucking awersome, but gotta transmit the signal using wifi router so looking for one .,
i can buy linksys and apply custom firmaware , but they have some limits like increasing transmit power upto 75/200 mw ....

gotta need something more powerful..

the cisco ones are some of the best. :2 cents: and can come with different coned antennas depending on usage. I am sure those are good too though then again that start at about $1k

i got a quote from them too, but its overkill for my project they are very powerful too .
i am just looking for near about 2-4 miles extended range.

so i am in the process of ordering 24 dbi directional antenna + lossless cable 12 meters + pigatil cable + surge protector.

just router is needed with external antenna and adjustable output transmit power.
