Considering the mess they have all caused, and the total lack of bipartisanship happening now, I don't see how it is OK for anyone in the government to get a raise of any kind right now.

To put it in perspective - What would the equivalent job in private industry be?..

I find it hard to believe the guy giving back his money is signing an order to increase his pay.

According to the Constitution, the President’s salary can’t be changed during his/her term: “The President shall, at stated Times, receive for his Services, a Compensation, which shall neither be increased nor diminished during the Period for which he shall have been elected, and he shall not receive within that Period any other Emolument from the United States, or any of them.”

Now you can thank good ol' George W for increasing the pay from $250k to $400k.

Considering all the assholes he has to put up with, $500k is a bargin for sure.
