The Return of Napster
|
There's too many free p2p progs floating around to pay for Napster...they've had their 15 min. of fame.
|
The only reason anyone used napster is because you could get any song and/or video you wanted almost instantly and it was all free.
I think they're dreaming if they think people will pay to download songs, especially since Kazaa still exists. |
If they do it right, they can do very well. The free trading systems are going to be harder and harder to find as the MPAA and RIAA's legal teams keep on working.
|
they should have sold the rights to the name napster to a site selling mp3's when napster was in the news.
|
Noone is going to pay a monthly fee.
Kazaa :ak47: Napster |
fuck napster....
Bearshare owns. |
I haven't read a lot about it but from what I have read it seems they may have trouble shutting down "Shareaza" as it is true P2P there is no centeral network. I have been using it for a while now and love it..beats the shit out of Kazaa :2 cents:
|
If I were into mp3's, I would consider paying a montly fee to access it. But, I prefer having the actual CD.
Even though the more recent systems are true p2p, there will always be ways to crack it down. Worst case they'll go after the individuals instead of some big corporation. That's already been done, so I'd be careful. |
