HBO GeyO on Plasma

Hey guys, anybody figured out how to watch HBO GO on regular TV? I tried to connect my laptop via HDMI and watch, but quality is horrible ( must be flash based ) not even close to HD. Any other way except Apple tv which I don't have... ?

A $65 Roku box has the HBO Go Channel.

I also have one of these and it will also run the HBO Go Android app:

How does that work, you have to have a HBO cable subscription right? They aren't just offering HBO Go over the web are they?

Yeah, when you try logging in to HBO Go they then pass you along to your cable account login, which passes the cookie or whatever to HBO.

It is pretty rad though - every episode of every show, plus 100s of docs & movies. I use the Xbox app to watch it, HD image quality is on par with the best of Netflix.

I stream it from my iphone, straight to the Apple TV. HD and all. Even better than
mirroring it from the macbook.

Thanks guys, it looks the Roku is the best thing out there right now. Hulu does not have it. Just have to add another box to the mix, but oh well :-) :thumbsup

Yeah...they haven't opened it up for just anyone to subscribe and use the app. You have to have cable or satellite and HBO there to use it.

I retired my Roku for a G-Box... it's an Android device with full web browsing capabilities.

Yeah that was my understanding too, if you don't have HBO on your cable plan you are shit out of luck and if you do, just watch it on regular TV without using the app LOL
