Pic taken today of workers at the new WTC building. As someone with a fear of heights I'd shit my pants..but I'd have fun watching my shit hit the people below |
I don't get the sensation of height from that image.

Fuck...........That.........
|
Fuck. No. There is not enough money in the world for me to do that.
Glad to see this building is nearly complete. |
Takes a certain kind of person to show up for work everyday and do that. No way I could ever, ever, ever do it.
|
Cool pic :thumbsup

Well in that "lunch atop a skyscraper" photograph they were only a few stories above the finished building. So if they fell they would fall 2 or 3 flights on to the platform below.
|
Yeah, nice pic indeed.

It is indeed amazing what ironworkers have done, and still do.
This all reminded me of a PBS I saw about 20 years ago documenting the construction of One Worldwide Plaza (I found it again on this Youtube channel, I think for the production company, which seems to have quite a few other interesting looking documentaries). I hope they've documented the design and construction of this building from beginning to end. I suspect, given what it is, they have done. I find skyscrapers, and 'monuments' generally, and the work people do to design and construct them, fascinating. |

If you're afraid of heights and you want to make your palms sweat, watch this video.
Edit : Ugh, I just watched this again... my hands and even my feet are sweating. I love heights but this is crazy. |
