500 gigs for $300?
Is that a good deal if it's premium bandwidth? That's .60/gig.

I think you could work out a better deal with another company on 7 MBPS like swifthosting.net or someone. -Xinnov |
I can give you 600 gigs for the same price. Not capped on a 100 mbit pipe.

it, like everything else in life, depends.
In this case it depends on the bandwidth you are buying. If it is cogent, you can get a better deal If it is Global Crossing, its a steal... I know for a fact that most people wholesale gc at just under 50 cents. If it want premium bandwidth .60 is the best price you could get, if you want crap... you can get it cheaper. |
how about 3000g for 500.. thats ... *calculate* $0.16666666666 per gig :P
|
I can do .14/GB.
Hell you get a dedicated box with 2,000GB/Month for $289/Mo from us, on a 100mbit burst. And we will manually restart it if it may crash. Plus we'll give you support by ICQ or mail, from either me or one of my partners. VibeHosting |
Hey, it really depends on what the rules are for the traffic you buy. It could be a great deal - and a really bad deal depending on the billing form.
For ex. if you pay 300USD for 500gbit - but that is all you can transfer - you will experience a "delay in packages" if you try to burst beyond that. That means that your surfers will have to wait for your site to come up - which can have an affect on your signup-ratio/conversion. However, if it's burstable bandwidth you have to make sure that you get a decent price on the bandwidth above. Here's a little check list, you have to make sure that: A: it's a reliable carrier B: they have more than one carrier - should the one carrier go down C: If you burst beyond the 500gb - that you will get it at the same low price of 0,6USD per gb - and that they don't raise the prices. D: a max. 3-6 month contract E: OR: see if you can get a lower price if you commit longer F: test in the areas where you're surfers come from - and make sure it's going to be fast enough G: Get references from others with experience with the company before you move. Normal good prices outside the US is in the neighborhood of: 0,8 per Gb - if you commit to 50Gb and 150USD per mbit - if you commit to 100mbit. Within the US - the prices are a little lower - so if you take this offer and it's actually good bandwidth - you're not getting robbed. Good luck with it all, Mia |
man if you burn 2000 gigs a month
then you sure hell can get a way better deal than that at least $100 per meg lol there we go with "PREMIUM BANDWIDTH" ,, haha |
