Paxum: Your perconal data visible for everyone

Do you know that every paxum user can get full name, address, phone number and real email of another paxum user ?

seeandsee 05-22-2013 07:16 AM

How the fuck?

Markul 05-22-2013 07:16 AM

What about blood type and penis length?

That information - which they collect during the verification process - is safely housed in an offline server.

How does it work, will you please tell the community?

need only one transaction to obtain information about the correspondent

When a Paxum user with a personal account sends a P2P payment to another Paxum user, the person receiving the funds will only see the email address of the sender.

When a Paxum user with a business account sends a P2P payment to another Paxum user, the person receiving the funds will see the email address and the DBA (Doing Business As) name of the company sending the funds.

No other information is shared.

cook, I'm not sure what you base your thread posts on, but you are incorrect with your statements in this one.

cook 05-22-2013 07:37 AM

I'm correct and it is tested
and I have reply in paxum ticket that said the same

it's not a bug but documented feature

Fat Panda 05-22-2013 07:41 AM

more fake paxum drama? :sleep

You mean the Identity Verification feature?
you would still need the details first and it will just say if it's correct or wrong.

Croco 05-22-2013 07:47 AM

Hello, I hope my name is known a little to the industry. I can confirm this, there is an easy possibility to know full information about paxum user just having his user name. You can get: Name, adress, phone and everything paxum has. This fact was already confirmed by paxum support, so I'm not sure why they are trying to show they don't know about it.

You are referring then to our Name Match feature? This has been available for quite some time and it does NOT provide you with confidential private account information.

Name Match works by providing Business clients with an additional fraud prevention measure that gives the ability to MATCH information provided by the Business client.

How this works in practice. Here's an example:

Company X is paying Affiliate Y weekly for traffic. The traffic Affiliate Y is sending to Company X has set off some flags for suspicious activity and Company X is unsure about the affiliate. With Name Match, Company X can input the name Affiliate Y provided them into our system and receive a Match, No Match, or Partial Match result. That is all. We do NOT provide actual account information to any other Paxum client, ever.

helterskelter808 05-22-2013 07:49 AM

Well if it's documented, just post the document.

What is the ticket number you're referring to?

cook 05-22-2013 07:53 AM

ticket #182208

cook 05-22-2013 08:02 AM

just live your paxum email here

bigluv 05-22-2013 09:34 AM

Post the proof or shut up

cook 05-22-2013 10:02 AM

just give me your paxum email

bigluv 05-22-2013 10:13 AM

I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm saying you are conducting yourself like a retard. So no, I don't want my personal info spread around. thanks anyways.
If it's documented let's see the ticket, if there's a document, let's see it. etc. you get the idea.

Not sure why this thread seems to be calculated to create drama.

georgeyw 05-22-2013 10:15 AM

Having dealt with paxum and the brain damage causing ESL support they have, I would say this is what has happened cook.

You have asked them a question and they have not understood so replied with some retarded half english message that makes so little sense it causes brain damage for the person reading it.

Paxum works no problem, however their support, well they are 100% esl monkeys who do not provide a single bit of intelligible support at all. They are so bad, I am thinking of introducing my own brain damage fees for paxum.

brassmonkey 05-22-2013 10:30 AM

someone who actually works there needs to reply :1orglaugh in the building

cook 05-22-2013 11:01 AM

did you read posts above ?
this bug/feature known not for me only

paxum said they are work on it allready. this is main thing i want. not to show my personal data to everyone.

i can say again - just give me paxum email

xxweekxx 05-22-2013 12:20 PM

so can someone give him his paxum email

Bravo 05-22-2013 12:50 PM

I gave it to cook, response was in following format

buyer_username=

test=

buyer_name=

buyer_contact_phone=

buyer_email=

buyer_id=

buyer_status=

buyer_address_country=

buyer_address_city=

buyer_address_country_code=

buyer_address_state=

buyer_address_status=

buyer_address_street=

buyer_address_zip=

And as I know cook is not the owner of business account, he got it using his personal paxum account features...

So it looks not nice in whole..

xxweekxx 05-22-2013 12:51 PM

dang....

Okay, let's put an end to this thread. This is a test account we set up for the XBiz awards a couple years ago, so nobody actually uses this account as it was set up for informational purposes only.

[email protected]

Let us know what you find out :)

I thought the quote/post below was cook doing it with alextm's paxum email addy. cook sent the info to alextm, who posted what cook sent him below, of course removing his own personal info. Or at least that's what I got out of that...

Posting empty information doesn't prove anything.

I provided an email address for an account in our system. The information on that account is fine to be shared in a public forum since the account was only used for informational purposes.

I do have to say that I'm very disappointed with the actions of some people relating to this thread. About 10 minutes ago I received a payment to [email protected]. I do not know this person, and I can only assume this was some lame attempt to try to confirm my Paxum account email address in order to try to grab personal information to post on this forum.

We have provided a valid email address in our system to use to provide your evidence. Please do not try to grab my personal information to try to prove your point.

Ruth,i do understand your point here but does it mean you are afraid that he might be able to get your info and that you are not 100 % certain he is talking bullshit?
Well, then i have also a reason to be afraid!

Putting the best possible face on it, maybe it was to post information you could identify but no one else could.

helterskelter808 05-22-2013 01:32 PM

It can't be done, but please don't use my email, use an email with no sensitive info. :error

Seems strange that cook and alextm would both be lying about it.

Bravo 05-22-2013 01:32 PM

to RuthB

https://www.paxum.com/payment_docs/p...tionParameters
this is documented feature

about lame attempts and so on, you should say 1000's thanks to cook instead of play fake dramas here

not respect to your behaviour here at all...

here some proof

good to see this problem fixed now

No I'm not afraid at all. It's the fact that someone will sink that low to try to do that, even when they cannot actually do it AND they were provided an email address to check as they requested, yet they still tried to make it personal.

That kind of thing just pisses me off :disgust

Having said that, since this is also getting twisted around, they are welcome to check [email protected] and provide the information from that account if they can.

I think you'll find we'll be hearing crickets in this thread from the OP though :2 cents:

cook 05-22-2013 01:35 PM

and this feature worked for both types of transactions

bigluv 05-22-2013 01:39 PM

Let's see contents of info on sample account ruth gave

cook 05-22-2013 01:43 PM

look at alextm post
this feature is fixed from now. before i could see full info about sender or receiver
and this why the link is posted now and not before

So rather than admit to the problem the rep just plays stupid and tries to write off the people reporting it as being crazy or liars. Unbelievable.

They've been shady from the day they opened. Lying about their banks, company ownership, address, etc.
