Share your bitrate for video streaming
I've been wondering what bitrate do you use for video streaming.
Here are my parameters I use for ffmpeg encoding: -850k -libx264 -flv What do you believe it's the best combination to serve visitors who want to stream video? :thumbsup |
MPEG 4, high profile, H.264, 1500 or 2000 kbps, 1920x1080 or 1280x720.

we use three H.264 MP4 files with the following settings
video 780 Kbps 640x360 (16:9) 29.97 fps AVC ([email protected]) audio (128 Kbps) 44.1 KHz 2 channels AAC (LC) 210mb for 30mins of video video 1480 Kbps 960x540 (16:9) 29.97 fps AVC ([email protected]) audio (128 Kbps) 44.1 KHz 2 channels AAC (LC) 375mb for 30mins of video video 3000 Kbps 1920x1080 (16:9) 29.97 fps AVC ([email protected]) audio (128 Kbps) 44.1 KHz 2 channels AAC (LC) 750mb for 30mins of video |

THIS "high profile, H.264" means WAY more than this "1500 or 2000 kbps, 1920x1080 or 1280x720" comparing bit rate alone is like comparing digital zoom on cameras |

Out of curiosity why do you use baseline profile for these instead of main and high respectively? |

but i did have some that were done in Main and those did not stream on iphone |
