Fountain update
Big day today..they pulled the forms that create the walls of the basin.
They used a tinted concrete so the color is consistent. The detail in the stone forms is impressive. The picture is from my cell and you can still see detail in each individual stone. The picture doesn't really do the process justice. Because of all the rain we are behind schedule but the men are working the weekend. Next comes the cap stone. http://mintesfiles.com/gfy/fountain_07.jpg |
I don't see a fence ….. I would be afraid of making a water-feature where neighborhood kids might drown. Just a thought you may want to run past your ins guy.

Not that it would help, but there will be video cameras set up on the building to keep an eye on what's going on. Wind speed permitting it will be running from 5 am to 11 pm daily and I am hoping that people in the city come by and enjoy it. Any coins tossed in to the fountain will be donated to the local food pantry this fall. |

A fountain on a wooden foundation, is that a good plan?
