Don't forget that users experience is very different from a desktop version to a mobile one so you should ask your AM there for good tips :winkwink:

Basically the success consists in testing a lot of traffic sources and ad spots with different creatives and landing pages using the appropriate tracking tools (pixel tag, API s2s) to follow the results and optimize your conversion funnel.
Traffic buy is about DATA. It's your capacity to buy enough data (budget), your faculties to analyze them, to take decisions and apply the right methods. That's how you will make profits.

I 100% agree with Ross. If someone is throwing you cocaine type numbers Walk away. the Only one in that case making money is the guy selling it to you. More seriously, real media buying can't rely on 1 single source but several sources. As said previously, you need to test over and over again, including new traffic sources.

Buying traffic can be very profitable, however it does take work and testing there's no simple formula. You can't spend $50 and use 1 crappy banner and expect to be rolling in the dough like many on GFY do and then cry its all fake traffic.
