Best software to stop password sharing
 

I have a small website, a little more than a year old, and it's just getting swamped with unauthorized users. I need this stopped today because bandwidth is getting crazy. I'm with CC Bill and the guy there had recommended strongbox but I want something that can get done today, without too much cost. Typically we get 250 to 400 visitors/day but last several days more like 1500 to 2500 and it's driving me crazy. Any info is helpful and do note, I am the site owner/photographer/videographer/website updater but not a website programmer.

I have heard only good thing about Strongbox, never used it myself.

People aren't 'sharing' passwords with friends. What is happening is someone either hacked you and stole your passwords or they stole someone else's file that shares your same niche. Then the hackers give them out for free. Switching to form based login well help a lot. Then have ccbill generate the user passwords. Don't let users pick their own. That way someone else's password file won't work on your site as well.

Almost all of our customers are using either Strongbox or ProxyPass and I've only heard positive feedback about both scripts.
