...out this morning and checked the zero on them. Only one of them was out of adjustment. I fired about forty rounds through them today. I am preparing to go into the wild to my hide away...in the next few days. I should be gone at least a month but there is the possibility that I may not ever return.

I discovered this place six or seven years ago and I have been preparing and stocking it ever since. I have the ability to sustain myself and my dog indefinitely. That is why I said I may not return as I love the wilderness and the peace of being isolated.

Over the years I have checked for human sign and I have never found any sign so I should not be bothered by the human animal...but a bear did do some damage a few years ago.

I will not have internet or TV but I will have short wave radio and two way if I feel the need to use it.

All legal and financial matters have been taken care of and I have arranged for a caretaker for my house to come once a week...in case I return...for what ever reason. I intend to leave tomorrow without interruption.

Of course my dog is going with me.

No it was not prompted by anything other than I have been planning to do it for some number of years. I have always spent a great deal of time in the wilderness...for as I stated I love being in the wilderness and love the isolation.

There are two sources of water...a year round spring and a small creek...so as long as nothing interrupts the water supply...I have provisions of different types...some of which should last around ten years and I have seed...but if I completely ran out of all of my provisions...I can live off of the wilderness game/gathering...and gardening for an indefinite period of time.

There is not an address to my hide away...so no...to my knowledge there is only one person other than myself that knows the location and that knows I am going there...and that is PF's oldest son.

Who are you coming back as this time?
