Squirted on keyboard!!
 

My model squirted all over her keyboard. Notebook still works but not the keyboard. I had to give her my MAC wireless keyboard. Can I fix a wet keyboard or is it done??

Depends some dry out and some are a pain in the ass

I wouldn't just put rice on it. submerge it in a bag/box of rice overnight. It may be toasted, but it's worth a shot.

Yes. A sealed bag of dry uncooked rice is ideal - Leave it for 24 Hours....

Plus that gives the opportunity for you to 'Boil In The Bag' all the better... :2 cents:

I accidentally poured about a half a beer into the keyboard of a brand new dell laptop.

Immediately shut it off, turned it upside down and shook it out a little. Wiped it down with a dry towel and 20 minutes later, turned it back on. Worked fine.

The keys still stick sometimes after 2 years.

Guess i got lucky.

I spilled soda on my laptop keyboard and when it dried up the keys stuck a lot. Everything worked fine but he sticking I wanted to deal with. I just pulled out the keyboard and washed it directly under the faucet. Let it try and it was good as new.

Laptop keyboards usually cost like $12 - $15... I don't think the keyboard is your problem.

That might be the worst thing you can do by pushing the liquid into places that it may not have reached yet.

Give it some time to dry.

or:

1) wash the keyboard with distilled water asap (it is much more simple to get distilled water than that spray) - note: NOT TAP WATER - BUT DISTILLED WATER
2) put the keyboard in dry rice (it will dry it very fast)
