Best Tracking Software?
 

I've tried a bunch of different programs, awstats, OWA, google analytics. Different numbers for different programs, wonder which out there is the best!

not sure which is the best, but i usually use statcounter..

it really depends on what you want to do with the data. If it's just basic stats you are looking for then save some money and just use google. If you are looking to take things to the next level you'll need more of a BI solution that allows you to track stats as well as revenue so it can be tied together.

google analytics? what are you missing with google analytics?

Im with theo on this i like google analytics BUT...google has all that data so.....

but truth is I dont like it but at the same time they have a lot of the data anyway so all in all Id have to say use GA

Analytics is great - I trust Google as well - If you want 100% control then Piwik is the best - If you have decent traffic though you will need to run it on its own server.

I am a stats freak so I run it on a $5 VPS - Its great fun...
