Anyone see Bowling for Columbine?

I saw most of the 3 hour Michael Moore production last night. He presents a very interesting hypothosis about why America is so violent.

Interesting, although the theme is anti gun ownership he goes beyond that to show that owning guns is not the issue it is the in his theory more the media breeding fear.

He did make me wonder when he pointed to Canada as a country with high gun ownership and low gun crime. I did not think 7 out of 10 Canadians had guns?

What do you think?

Nope...we just got a lot of hunters that like to shoot deer.

I thought it was great...ESPECIALLY the part with Charlton Heston.

If you've seen "Roger And Me" then you wont be disappointed in Bowling For Columbine

I fucking loved the cartoon by the South Park creator and it went a long way to poke fun at something that has become seemingly the truth...Southerners and Republicans are still fighting the civil war every day through the NRA.

I havn't sceen the movie But I believe that the issue isn't guns - it's HANDGUNS.

It's ALMOST impossible to get a handgun in canada. rifles and shotguns are everywhere though.

handguns kill people randonly. they are easy to hide. you have to think and be steady to use a rifle. and you can see a shotgun from a mile away.

Great Movie :thumbsup

The part where you get a free gun when you open a new bank account is hilarious... and his question in the end 'Isn't it a little dangerous handing out guns in a bank' :1orglaugh

Funniest part is that guy who was related to the Oklaoma bombing....at the end of the interview....
M.M. : Oh so you do believe in some sort of restrictions!
The guy: Well..There's some wackos out there!
