    Webmasters Hope This Google Test Doesn?t Become A Reality

    Google has been running a test that eliminates URLs from search results pages (for the most part).

    Does this make results pages better? Would you be in favor of Google implementing this as a new design?

      I'd hate this as a google user, not sure what I think about it from a webmasters standpoint (might even work in your favor if you build nice or official-looking sites/pages and link to sponsors joinpage directly etc)

          Without the url it takes away an obvious warning that a site will be scammy as fuck.

                  But I also noticed that most non-webmasters can't distinguish between scammy urls and legit sites.

                              dumbest idea ever. not even from a webmaster perspective but just a user i always look at the urls before clicking, gives me an idea of the source. without you'd not know where the hell you're going.

                                              I always check the url before clicking, if it is a local search, well only ever click a .com.au unless i'm desperate...

                                              Turn sigs off people - been running without sigs for years on here because of idiotic sigs on here.
