Ammunition is OUT OF STOCK everywhere in area?
 

Even Walmart is out of ammo. What's the availability in your town?

Glad I've been stocking up the last 4-5 years. I currently have over 50K+ 5.56 rounds, 10k+ 9mm 40 cal and a lot of assorted other shit.

Winter is coming

Gun store down the block from me has plenty.

On top of that my brother in-law makes his own ammo, he won't be running out.

I'm more concerned that my local Walmart can't keep pressure cookers on the shelf

Tennessee Wal-Mart shelves are clean except for .270 and .300 WinMag been that way for a while.

Lots of crazy rumors. Like Obama is gonna replace the ammo with gunpowder that stops working after a year and Obama is gonna make all ammo illegal. People are calling for higher taxes on ammo. But I don't see it reaching what the people are selling it for on gunbroker.

Same problem with the 1973 toilet paper shortage. Johnny Carson cracked a joke about a shortage of toilet paper and everybody went out and bought all they could.

I have heard the shortage is largely generated by homeland security ordering 1 BILLION rounds....dunno if its true or not

i never buy locally but everyone seems to be allmost out online also

Ammo is something I do not have a concern about. I have more ammo for several different firearms than I will ever use in my lifetime. I also have the ability to reload...shells.

That is actually a really smart way to slowly and quietly reduce the number of firearms in the US. Over the span of a few years if no one can buy ammo they'll lose interest in the topic

That's not that great a comparison. They aren't outlawing guns or ammunition, but lets hypothetically say that much of the ammo was being bought up by the gov't for instance to lower supply on the market...

Well this is part of the conspiracy, people are buying up ammo like crazy cause they think the laws will change.

What if it's the ammunition-makers that start those rumours about the government outlawing ammunition or tampering with the gun-powder?

Because what happens when paranoid gun-lovers hear that kind of rumour? They go out and BUY as much ammo as they can, filling the pockets of ammunition-makers.

Strange how you never hear that kind of angle to conspiracies, only the ones about the government.

In Texas we have been having plenty of shipments of ammo and guns again. Most of the local Walmart stores that can sell guns are getting rifles back in stock and more pallets of bullets are coming daily. Our local Cabela's has taken down their 20 spot cubicles they had up for the gun buying craze because they have guns on the shelf again and removed ammo restrictions.

I have a few friends that stocked up on guns and shit tons of ammo. Talking about how Obama is going to take them both away. We went duck hunting in December and no store around me had the proper shells. So my buddies provided me with them for free setting as how they all had them by the thousands and I only needed 25 or so. Worked out great except that they went on and on about, "see, we told you he'd take away the ammo, bro!" I just laughed and told them to pass me a couple more shells.
