Newton's sombre prediction is part of the documentary Newton: The Dark Heretic. In a statement promoting the program, to be aired March 1, the British Broadcasting Corp. said it will show a handwritten Newton document predicting the end of the world in 2060, according to calculations he made based on the Bible.

Its well established that Isaac Newton believed that future events are foretold through the ancient hebrew of the original bible. A lot of prominent scientists and world leaders believe the same and a lot of the prophets put forward predictions that correspond uncannily with this but its a perspective thats way ahead of its time and won't be recognised for decades yet. People still believe science explains everything and that this stuff is the crap of lunatic neanderthals.

As for the end of the world, he's got it very wrong. The end of the world isnt due until we can no longer sell domains easily. It will be because of the sign of the veri (aka verisign) will prevent transfers from happening.

The Bible is nothing more than a collection of gathered stories from other ideals and beliefs, so how can it be accurate within itself?

I have read the bible so many times its scary, attended Catholic School until I went to High School.
