The best is Yummy FTP :thumbsup

Zyzz 04-24-2013 07:50 AM

Transmit, forklift and filezilla in that order.

Transmit is the best one IMHO from what i used so far.

If you are using Sublime Text check this plugin out: http://wbond.net/sublime_packages/sftp

Big time saver when coding all day :)

you can't pause an upload with filezilla. (and he is already using it).

If I had mac I would probably use FileZilla :pimp

I like Cyberduck... quite possibly because of the duck. It works well for me!

I'm using an older version of Transmit (3.6) I didn't like the look of the version 4 interface. Thinking of trying forklift next.

Transmit, and my IDE's integrated FTP.

Chris 04-24-2013 12:31 PM

FileZilla
and the built in ftp in textwrangler

What do the paid ones do that the free ones don't. I used to use CuteFTP back in the day and its paid. I then switched to FileZilla, its free and has all the same features that I use.

What would a 'Transmit' do that 'Filezilla' does not. Just curious.

Don't use FTP.... open up a terminal and scp/rsync over SSH.

yuu.design 04-24-2013 01:26 PM

im using filezilla

Catalyst 04-24-2013 01:37 PM

I use transmit... it works great.. I have uploaded a TON of data.. resume works great..

It has a lot of features I never use that often, but it is stable and works.
