Oh HELL NO. lol They are much greedier. I had a surgeon botch a surgery on my neck and cause me nerve damage that has just become progressively worse (and I was told it would keep getting worse by my Doctors, even HIS Doctors), we settled and I walked away with about 10% of my settlement. Wasn't worth my time. (Perhaps it would have if I had taken it to court vs. "settling", but I'm not a litigious person, I just wanted to cover the medical bills, but in the end, I didn't even get enough to do that-- Every year that injury costs me money).. Just an example of how sneaky they can be, I emailed and SPECIFICALLY requested a 4 page medical report from some Fancy Ass Specialist they sent me to. (I made it quite clear which date, which Doctor and that is all I wanted, but NOOOOOOOOO--- they made copies of EVERY single paper EVER involved in my court case (every Doctors Report, Every Deposition, My Physical Therapy Notes... Copies of "You Missed a Call Phone Message Notes, it was RIDIC) and charged me 1500.00 in copy fees. To this day, I still haven't found the few pages I wanted, it's buried in that box somewhere.
