    It pays to never give up

    I resolved my pending court case today and managed to get just a tiny bit LESS than the minimum sentence. Sure, it was not dismissed, but without spending thousands NO ONE wins. So. I can live with it.

    Any time you have tough times (REAL ones, not breaking a nail or your gardener not showing up) remember my patented saying:


    I'LL NEVER GIVE UP, BECAUSE FUCK YOU.

                      Anyone who knows me would tell you I ALWAYS leave my car if I've had more than one drink. Always. They'll also tell you how many times I have put complete strangers into a cab, at my own expense, rather than allowing them to drive drunk.

                                      How much actual jail time did you get? 5 days? Or is it just nights. I assume you drew just short of 90 days probation? Did that end up house arrest like your new lawyer thought?

                                                  Yes you ALWAYS leave your keys when you've been drinking and the evidence for this is you have two DUI convictions.

                                                          That is correct. I know people - many people - who drive drunk ALL OF THE GOD DAMN TIME who have never even been CHARGED with dui. It's god damned mind numbingly fucked up.

                                                                                  Do you think that one day, far in the future, when you've gained some maturity, you might, just maybe, be able to say "Well I have accomplished ABC, and I'm working on XYZ" and be able to support yourself and have some self respect instead of always having to prop yourself up on someone else?
