That's a great weekend action movie. Too bad you can't stream it on NetFlix.

This is one movie I don't really see the point of remaking. Then again I rarely see the point of remaking old movies
There are exceptions though. |
Apparently we got ourselves an asshole shortage!

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2058673/ There's a screenplay written already, so actors should start showing up soon. |
there was also total recall... and even if i find kate beckinsale sexy, the first movie was better. I bet it will be the same thing with this movie....

UTAH, GIMME 2.
I can honestly say growing up, I had this movie on VHS and would watch it once time a week, bare minimum. R.I.P Patrick Swayze http://blog.timesunion.com/movies/fi...ick_swayze.jpg |
I liked Point Break but UGH!!! why?
But get this : The producer of the new Point BReak is Andrew Kosove and he's also producing another 80's CLASSIC tie-in movie... are you ready for this? A SEQUEL TO BLADE RUNNER, directed again by Ridley Scott. I mean come on.... it shouldn't be re made, it doesn't need a sequel, and I'm sorry but Ridley Scott sucks donkey balls now. Prometheus SUCKED! His version of Hannibal SUCKED! ALIEN : The Directors cut, SUCKED SUCKED SUCKED! Anyway, Andrew Kosove's filmography is up at : http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0467255/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1. Pretty decent. Blade Runner Sequel : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1856101/ (not much info there yet) but there's also http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=95853 |

http://www.movieinsider.com/movies/-/2013/ There are several sequels and remakes in there but there are a lot of others that aren't, although I don't know how *original* they all are. Pacific Rim looks like it has promise as an action sci-fi. And I see Vin Diesel has another Riddick coming out in Sept. But yes the remakes are sometimes quite insideous. There are plenty of movies done over the last 90-odd years give or take that probably wouldn't be bad if given a modern re-write and a fresh do-over, but I don't see Point Break as being one of them. Certain films containing certain actors just stand on their own and really should simply be left alone. Some are even sacred. Case in point: If someone were to try and remake the cult classic The Warriors I would quite literally choke on my own vomit in disgust. http://members.shaw.ca/graphx/pics/warriors01.jpg |
