Considering al qaeda doesn't even have a clue who did it and hasn't tried to claim responsibility, I'm starting to lean toward home grown..

I'm kinda surprised someone hasn't claimed responsibility. With this kind of stuff usually the idea is to go for shock value & terror but to use that as a tool to push their message.

Yet we have no message being pushed, just the shock & the terror. Added to that the various letters sent containing Ricin to both a Republican senator & Obama it seems very odd.

I'd almost start to think perhaps if all are connected that maybe it's some sort of anarchist and not a religious or traditional political type group. However being the attacks took place on Patriots day in Boston it could also be some sort of anti Fed type, assuming the Ricin is done by the same person(s).

I'd think for the investigators it's likely more worrying that they don't have any sort of claim for responsibility. To me over all that just pushes me to think it's more of a home grown type.

The question though is how did they get a hold of the Ricin if they are connected. Is it hard to produce being it comes from a plant?

Worst case stretch, would be someone from North Korea or Iran, but targeting a foot race would seem a bit odd for something like that, so I'd think that's very unlikely.

An arrest has been made based on surveillance cameras that were set up in the area of the second bomb. They have video of the guy leaving the bag. They said he's a dark skinned male.

Putting conspiracy and North Korea aside, I'm going with a white extremist's desire to dish out pain to New England liberals. It's been very rough on these types since Obama got elected and changes in population and voter turnout have given them a bleak future. One of these guys may finally have snapped.
