Top 30 earners on globill on a public web page...

Would you want your revenues listed for anyone to see?

gothweb 02-23-2003 08:14 PM

Two things I notice...

1.)

"note: to preserve anonymity, the who field shows the first 3 characters of the username and the last 3 characters of the site ID."

2.)

Their top earner makes $1322 a week.

I think that's daily earnings

Juggernaut 02-23-2003 08:15 PM

"The top 30 site earners for yesterday:" - That would mean this URL is a daily indicator...

Still enough to work it out if you really want to hunt around, or if you are looking for a particular person. I can tell who a couple of the entries in the top 10 are quite easily.

EscortBiz 02-23-2003 08:18 PM

maybe if thats earnings an hour yes

gothweb 02-23-2003 08:20 PM

My bad. I don't know why I assumed it was weekly... 3,400,000 a year isn't so bad.

heymatty 02-23-2003 10:34 PM

Damn thats a crazy idea right there :)

I'd be a hell of a lot more interested in the top earners at epoch, ibll, jettis or ccbill though :)

heymatty 02-23-2003 10:36 PM

btw I hope those numbers are net not gross. Otherwise globill really need to find some volume to stay in business :)

SleazyDream 02-23-2003 10:38 PM

those numbers - the TOP ones - are pretty sad

m0rph3us 02-23-2003 10:38 PM

are those the net or gross of the site OWNERS or just top affiliates for sites ?

because if those are site owners, then what sleazy said.. 'sad' ! :2 cents:

wethoney 02-23-2003 10:39 PM

WHoa! :1orglaugh

Backov 02-23-2003 10:41 PM

That's the top affiliates for one particular site. If you play with the last parameter you'll notice that it's site specific.

Paul Markham 02-23-2003 10:47 PM

Their top client TURNED OVER only $482,530 a year with them?

Off how many sites? Was this before they took their 15%? Before he paid out to his affiliates? Bought content, paid his B/W and hosting bills

Not to be sniffed at but not going to make anyone a millionaire. Seems like GloBill are more for the smaller sites.

Mind you I suppose these guys have 2-3 CC processors. So double or treble it and it starts to look better.

But GloBill were difficult to deal with, they are now impossible.

That's affiliates, but it's still sad. I can't believe they publish that, when no one is doing volume with them. Epoch, ibill, and ccbill would all have much bigger top affiliates.

psyko514 02-23-2003 10:59 PM

So which one of you guys make more than $1400 a day off of one site? Let me know and I'll promote it.

Not being rude, but was this a guess or are you absolutely sure?

One of my globill affiliate IDs is 15812r - there's no username, and no letters besides the trailing 'r'. I don't see how it could be a list of affiliates. :)

Kimmykim 02-23-2003 11:22 PM

Interesting, I took it to mean a per site, per day figure. Not a per account or per reseller figure.

you made a funny :)

Spam King 02-23-2003 11:35 PM

I have a paysite with Globill and have the answer to this one (and its my first post!). Ok, those totals have nothing to do with affiliates. They are individual websites daily earnings outside of any reseller income they make in that day. The totals are the exact payout for that day. So all expenses Globill takes are already minused from the daily totals. Considering this and the fact that all webmasters roll with four or five processors means the top sites are probably making a killing. I would think most at least double that daily number in rev with reseller income figured in. My paysites earn half if not 75 percent of total from affiliates. I'd guestimate Globills top earners are raking in in 2 million a year from them alone. That's why I'm in the paysite bizz:glugglug

wonton 02-24-2003 12:44 AM

Those stats are also only for webmasters who have opted in for having their site listed. I believe most webmasters opt out of showing up on the list (like me) so it is not really a comprehensive "Top 30" list.

How much do you make a day? You don't have to answer if you don't want. Just trying to get an idea how much top sites make a day. Any guess on Ibill's daily earnings for their top sites? What about CCBill and Epoch? Any webmasters want to share??

What sites do you run again wonton? I keep asking and you keep answering with some conspiracy theory tripe, but you never seem to say...

SGS 02-24-2003 01:54 AM

Most of us who have sites ranking high up at the top end on a daily basis on this little list also bill similar amounts or even more with other processors too. These figures are not so much the total daily return but the total billed on a single site through just this one single processor.

slavdogg 02-24-2003 01:58 AM

>> #1 spot $1460.36

THATS IT ??

UnseenWorld 02-24-2003 02:29 AM

Those numbers are meaningless as to profits, though. A company can lose 100 million bucks on a billion in sales. A company can make $10,000 on $100,000 in sales and be the more profitable company.

slavdogg 02-24-2003 02:38 AM

UnseenWorld, how many porn webmasters / website owners run unprofitable businesses ???

Socks 02-24-2003 02:39 AM

Not many for very long I'd imagine. ;)

It's a totally misleading list then. :uhoh What use is a top list that has an unknown number of entries missing completely?

It would be far, far better if the list was complete, but the names were not shown for the sites who opted out. How many people's first thought was, "...the #1 site does only $1200 a day?"

Spam King: interesting that it's the net payout to the site. There's one webmaster on that list who is doing a lot better than I thought. :1orglaugh
