Going Rate For A Housemaid?
 

We're looking to hire someone to come in an clean once a week, we aren't an especially dirty household, but also not pristine either, what is the going rate for say 4 hours of cleaning, floors, dusting, bathrooms, etc...

It's going to depend on where you live, if you go with a service or a private person, if you find an immigrant, etc.

I pay a woman $150 for 2 half days a week.

I hired a company was changed $169 for 4hrs. Then I was recommended someone for $20 an hour. The only difference is the later uses all my cleaning suppies which is fine with me.

I use a service, they come once a week for $80 - takes about an hour, but they bring 2-3 people and get a lot of cleaning done which is nice because there isn't a big disruption. It's expensive to hire people where I live though.

I pay $100.00 and she comes roughly once every 10 days which works for me.

My current cleaning lady has been working for me around a good 3-4 years I would guess. She does a good job. I would say it takes her around 3 hours to complete all of her cleaning tasks (dust, mop, dishes, vacuum, etc.).

I pay mine $15 per hour and she's here twice a week for two hours at a time.

I pay my cleaning lady $85 to clean my house every other week. She usually comes with another lady and the two of them take about 2-3 hours to clean everything- dust, sweep, mop, clean bathrooms, change my cat litter, take out the garbage etc.

I pay $10 for an 8 hour day, which includes cleaning, laundry, shopping and cooking 2 meals. Of course, that's in Bogota (20,000 pesos).

I pay 160 for two people to come every other week. Take them 3-4 hours each time they comes.
