Yesterday I cashed in my retirement. I'm ready to invest.

Where do I sign up?

kevin o'leary going otr saying he's potentially putting 2-3% in to btc, that = $6m-$9 million

he also says it's here to stay, that's my view too, that's why i think it's safe to let this trend down some more before buying back in. i'm betting the price will settle down at ~$100

Try some naked option trades... :winkwink: the stock Market just keeps going up and up and you can't go wrong, when it is on news everyday.

dyna mo 04-13-2013 08:10 AM

been several VCs stating they are getting into btc, their reasoning is twofold-

btc is a truly disruptive tech, which is the #1 most importatfactor on their list of criteria, 2) it is disruptive in the largest markets on the planet- the currency markets.

they don't look at it as a replacement, they see that statistically it doesn't need to command much of the currency markets for it to be massive.

seeandsee, honest question, are you more against bitcoins now, when they are valued at ~$100+ or back when you where complaining about them being a ripoff a couple years ago when they were ~$3-$5?

I will always be against BC! End of story.
Also you failed to write that BC were 280$ few days ago (That is 165$ drop atm), and how people lost their money back in 2011...

yes, that much is clear, my question is are you more against them at $100 than you were when 2 years ago when they were $5?

i didn't fail to write anything, my question is very clear.

There is exactly one reason why he acts like this. One reason only. He doesn't have the money to buy any coins and now is upset seeing other people make money.

SIK 04-13-2013 08:31 AM

I'd be curious to ask.. how much coins do you own mr Dirty F?

Simply because, an advice to buy weighs much more from someone owning 10 000 than from someone who owns.. 5 or whatever.

I have asked and got a pussy reply of "1" He knows all the haters will make fun of him if he lost a lot of money. If I sold mine before the crash or not I would not laugh at anyone but he puts himself out there with all the hype so it comes with it.
I hope he as at least 100 if not more with all the shit talk though. If not then how can he make fun of others for not making money if he is not either lol.

No, you want me to be wrong because you can't stand it that people are making money and you were too late to buy and now it's too expensive for you.

I already said in another thread that I hope you make money with this venture. Why do you think the only reason people dont buy into this is because they cant afford it? I am sure there are plenty of people who dont buy into Apple or GE because they dont like the idea, not because they cant afford it. Can't that be possible? That someone actually doesnt agree with the idea of this investment? I guess you werent born with the logic part of your brain.

I personally don't care either way. I am just doing this to annoy you, because your threads are annoying everyone else.

newB 04-13-2013 12:43 PM

Didn't you just post an apology for going overboard with the bitcoin stuff?

I'm skeptical for these reasons:
1. The attributed creator is a pseudonym - nobody has yet to publicly claim credit.
2. The main exchange Mtgox was originally a site for Magic The Online Gathering.
3. They've been sluggish for years then suddenly the price jumped and there was immediately talk of getting in before getting priced out - sounds like the exact same formula for a pump and dump to me.

But good luck to you.

I'm been in design meetings all day working on a new bitcoin exchange offering. Looking pretty good.

There is HOPE!

Been following bitcoins since 2012. Made initial investment this year at $47, then a week later went for more at $68. At the time, BTC had been doing nothing but going up all year with minor exceptions; it was a no brainer and rare opportunity to take advantage of.

I've sold most of my coin though, no, not at $200+ but at prices high enough to be able to say that I sold them for at least 2x what I paid.

Over the past week it became obvious how volatile Bitcoins are and the way to go is to buy low, sell high, buy low, sell high, because there are going to be tons of opportunities to do just that.

And I don't think the value of BTC is going to be stable for a long time, if ever. So take advantage.

- Jesus Christ - 04-13-2013 06:09 PM

No one knows what the bottom is going to be. The top is going to be higher than 266 (if this is the cryptocoin that succeeds) but NO ONE KNOWS when that is going to be.

To be honest the speculation aspect gets annoying to those of us who believe in the ideology, but its necessary for adoption.

Some of us see a world of political freedom for our children not just dollar signs.

i wanna see it go sub $10. there are many who would love to have an opportunity once more. therefor people won't allow it to fall too low. rest can panic and make such opportunity reality =)

that's fun part.

what this tech presents was unthinkable before bitcoin and the internet.
it's also open source, in this regard comments about anon creator don't hold much ground. this virtual creation now lives on it's own supported by many in various aspects from devs to hardware guys to investors, traders, miners and commerce (however infant it may be atm).

helterskelter808 04-13-2013 07:56 PM

Hint: statements about "doubling money" are totally redundant if not stating how much money was involved.
