First of all, take a look there:
http://www.tiobe.com/index.php/conte...pci/index.html
C #1, Java #2, C++ #3 and Objective-C #4 most popular languages.
Actionscript is #38th language.
Language used for what, for web? The Flash plugin it is itself written in C++, as well as the web browsers, and operating systems :)
Ok for web: Flash is dead, and your post is meant to be trolling. Jscript and php is what everyone uses. Flash it is "needed" only for the model-client part of cam sites. Because it captures the audio and video for send it to wowza or adobe servers. But video it can be displayed with html5... in fact on iphone / ipad it is the only way to show video or cam sites, flash not there. On a side note, on Android 4+ Flash it is an unsupported hack, is dead there too. Given how phones and tables are outnumbering pc's...
Also, this is gossip you not find in news: Adobe must have fired 90% of their California developers (one of the reasons they can't support development on android or else), as when I report the many bugs of new Flash releases, it is chineses who reply me always, from China, in broken English, but not as broke as bugs they add in every next version, like if they did not tested anything. With no developers, you don't go much far.
About Java, android apps are written with that. About C++, Iphone/Ipad is written in that (well, Objective C exactly). Ok about web, you don't use Java applets anymore (Firefox even consider Java plugin a virus and disables it). On server... wowza is Java... but not much else. About C++ for web, well, ok that's not there. I remember writing a cgi-bin in "C" back in 1996 since perl looked to me like a mess.
Seriously, a fun language it is Python. For nasty scripts to spy and steal data, or to write robots for the NASA, not many uses it for web. Anyone?
