Reviews aren't kind and lots of people find Cruise polarizing.

It will do well opening week and fall off the radar the week after.

i'm torn - story sounds interesting but i usually refuse to watch that scientology asshat

All religions are imaginary made up bullshit thought up to make the leaders rich, why should scientology be any different. I will watch any good movie no matter the religion of the actors or producers. One and only one of my definitions of a good movie is they don't make an obvious attempt at converting the masses to their way of thinking.

I really want to watch this movie and will most likely do it next weekend or the one after that. I don't crowds much so I watch movies their first week out to avoid theme.

Great story, kept me interested but the fight scenes could have been scripted/filmed better.

i couldn't care less what cruise's religion is, i just know his last several flicks have not been enjoyable.

Trailer looks pretty good, though. I'd check it out.

Evil Dead was fun. I would like to have seen Cruise in that one. :)

Just watch the movies and forget his religion. I was going to say stupid religion, but all religions are stupid religions, but I digress. Watch the movie and try to get into his character. He's a pretty fucking good actor (War of the Worlds, Minority Report, Vanilla Sky, Magnolia, Born of the Fourth of July especially....). I have no trouble enjoying his movies.

Oblivion was entertaining sci-fi - very phillip k dick style story - the film is based on a video game (i think) - pretty interesting to me - i think that minority report is probably the closest thing cruise has done like this - enjoy!

The video game is a heroic fantasy game.
