Kid's iPhone screen is cracked - fourth time in the past year. Back to the mall so I have the screen fixed - again.

Right now I'm reinstalling iTunes for the 4th time in the past month. Odd, because my other music software hasn't had a problem since I started using it nearly fifteen years ago. (I've been using Rhapsody since my very first MP3 player in 1998 or so.)

Apple is ok, if you like to pay more for really nothing, well its nothing if you have already found just as good alternatives.

what's the over/under on this becoming a two-pager?

Kids break shit. Stop complaining about broken glass screens and buy a case for the damn phone.

Yea, no, not so much. I've spent nearly $500 on multiple "otterbox" cases and similar. No workie - iPhone still broke. It's comical because she never broke the screen on any other phone.

So youve spent nearly 1k on screen repair and cases? Probably should just switch phones, just saying'. Try having your kid put a hand in paying for the repaired screen(chores, extra study time, etc). Watch how well the phone will be taken care of after that...

They keep breaking because you keep replacing them for her. If she had to pay for it, she'd be a lot more careful.

After the "kid" broke it second time, they'd be getting an old skool phone until they learned not to break shit. You continue to pay to fix it, they will continue to not give a damn about breaking it.

Is it a 5? if so you should get apple care plus and it would be cheaper to replace the screen.

I would bet that 50% of the people that I know have iPhones. I never hear any of them complaining about broken screens. I have one as well, my screen is fine.

Nearly everyone I know who has an iPhone has broken their screen at least once. The freaking mall has four little booths dedicated to fixing broken iPhone screens.

I'm with you on this one Rochard! I just hate the crappy, useless pieces of shit that Apple does. I made the mistake of buying a MacBook Pro some time ago, paid twice as much for the same configuration as a normal windows laptop has...
It buggy and everything is fucked up about it, the way programs are used and so on.. I believe the guys at Apple think like that "Ok, what would be the most easiest way to do an action... like this... ok, let's do it against all logic and common sense!"

Just buy another phone, I've made the mistake of buying their crappy Iphone and I feel like I'm bound to the crappy Itunes that arranges the files in way that only a blind man would sort them...

yep, my 19 year old son is the same way. 1st the dog chewed one phone. then his girlfriend got "lotion" on the second one. the third one got dropped at school(college) and just this past weekend he shows up at my house with another cracked screen.....i'm not paying for this one. (however, my wifes brother is giving him a used evo)

My iPhone 4 still works great. 3 years old now, I use it hours every day and even the battery life is still good. Not an apple fanatic though, it pisses me off that they force the newstand app to the main screen even though I never installed it or will ever use it, they banned a few apps that I used to use a lot and other annoyances...

I've had every single version of iphone and never broke a screen. Used iSkin's Revo case on every model except this one. Best case ever, a tank and super slim. They didn't make it for the iPhone 5 sadly. How about investing in an otterbox?

I think the iPad is junk. That thing checks out for a few days every occasionally, and I can't get it to turn on until its ready.

It's true, and I just realized last month that mine are as well. We were at a spring training game and all 3 of our boys were playing on their tablets.. I didn't realize how it looked until the people behind us were talking about it.

Your saying "You just bought a brand new car, but you should by a plastic cover to protect your windshield". My kid has had lots of smart phones and none of them have had broken screens like the iPhone has. Come to think of it, I've never seen ANYONE with a broken screen unless it was an iPhone.

I shouldn't have to buy a special $100 case to protect my electronics.
