Sugar Free - Diabetic
Anyone know of some good sugar free sites for candy. I found 1 but would like some others http://www.nsagoodies.com

I dunno about LA, but up here Longs Drugs and Walgreens have pretty large selections of sugar free stuff. The Longs near me has an isle devoted to sugar free candy, cakes, chocolate etc. Not sure about the web.

I suppose you already know about Splenda, the no-cal sugar substitute that IS sugar (or is made from it), tastes exactly like sugar, and is increasingly being used as a sweetener in soft drinks, candy, etc.
You can use it just like sugar in coffee. The main thing it's not good for is in applications like baking cookies, because its texture is so different from natural sugar |

Splenda was made for baking!
Of course, I havent baked with it, so I dont know about the texture. But, the other artificial sweetners turn very toxic at baking temperatures. Splenda doesn. |

If you have a Whole Foods market near you, they sell sugar free candy of all types there.

If you're diabetic, be sure to check the carb count even if it's SF. Carbs turn to glucose in the blood (sugar is a carb, but sugar-free isn't necessarily carb-free). When fat or carbs are removed from food, high-carb fillers are usually used. Look for the Splenda logo on the label - that stuff rocks. And it works great in cooking/baking.
