Non-alcoholic beer that doesn't taste like shit????

Found only one kind in my local store and it tastes horrible, any first hand experiences and recommendations?

candyflip 04-08-2013 07:43 AM

My Dad drinks NA beer. What the fuck is the point?

Forest 04-08-2013 07:50 AM

st pauli girl is what I drink when i drink NA beer

almost like the real thing

Becks also has a pretty good one HackeBeck I think

Rochard 04-08-2013 07:52 AM

What's the point of Non-alcoholic beer? Beer without alcohol is not beer, it's just a crappy drink.

Webmaster Advertising 04-08-2013 07:54 AM

St Paulies or O'Douls are the better ones.

Miller has a NA beer too.

I actually drink O'Douls randomly when its my turn to be the DD, doesn't feel as strange as drinking soda when everyone else is getting shit-faced drunk.

MikeRoth 04-08-2013 07:58 AM

I'm going to agree with the no point of NA beer theory. But then again I don't like the taste of beer and only drink it for the alcohol content. But I guess some people actually like the taste.

CurrentlySober 04-08-2013 07:58 AM

i like a taste that is like shit... :2 cents:

I'll even pay premium...

Did some reading and Kaliber and Erdinger Weissbier are the best according to a few sites that I found; then, on another forum a guy that looks like knows what he's talking about says that the non-alcoholic US beer actually tastes more like the "real stuff," so I'll just go to a bigger store and see what I can buy

It might be a microbrew, but this czech beer called bernard has a non-alcoholic version that only vaguely tastes of bubbly water + dish soap.

alex.missyouth 04-08-2013 09:31 AM

Never liked it, never will

Klen 04-08-2013 10:02 AM

Dont remember any NA beer being tasty, but i do like radlers. But radlers are not for average beer lovers, more for people who like combining alcohol and juices.

Went to Carrefour (which stores gazillion types of beer) and the only one alcohol-free was Bavaria. Still a bit fruity, but apart from that not bad at all
