Lol humanity has been spanking, slapping and cuffing children since the cave-man days and it worked fine. It's only in today's society of whiners, self-entitled cry-babies and "poor me" type people who turned it into such a bad thing. Of course, the actual child abusers didn't help much.

Honestly, raise your children, don't be scared of them and for the love of god, if one spank solves all the problems, how does that hurt? Is it better to sit through hours of "bartering" with a child with a sense of self-entitlement? They need strong guidance, strong positive influence and an "I don't take crap from you, smarten up. it is what it is" attitude sometimes..

Now, that being said, MrMaxwell, you did not make this comment. This pic has been articulating the net (in a slightly different form) for ages.

Obviously let them grow up into adults who do what they want, when they want and have no sense of respect for anyone, including themselves. The world is full of them now. Should be fun in the next 20-30 years..

I just can't grasp the idea of a full grown wo/man not having a better idea in her/his stupid head than to hit a child.

From spanking to broken ribs and trauma? Gee.. that's like saying a spoon will make you fat.

Just because you give a child a little spank, does not mean it automatically graduates to any of the dramatic events you describe above.

So, let's say your wife (again, fictional character, I have no idea if you have one) gets drunk and doesn't want to go to sleep. Do you hit her because she doesn't respond to reason? What if she gets Alzheimer? Do you beat her until she remembers how to use the toilet?

How about a dog or a cat? Do they need to be beat up / hit because they don't respond to reason?
