Can anyone suggest a reliable place to hire a Virtual Assitant?
I know a lot of people here have had dealings with VA and was wondering if I could get some suggestions on the best place to hire a reliable and trustworthy VA.
Usually people mean third world labour when they say VA, but I dunno maybe you aren't necessarily referring to that.
In my experience though, india, pakistan, phillipines, afghanistan, etc etc =/= trustworthy =/= smart =/= reliable.
After you hire someone come back here and let us know all the excuses you get and all the wonderful stories.
Here I'll start. "I couldn't work because I broke my leg climbing up on the roof to put petrol in the air conditioner" (?) "Internet is out so I am emailing" (a favorite), "Grandmother/mother/brother/cousin in hospital/dying/died".
One time I asked a worker to help me hire another worker like him he was so good. So he created an "alter ego" and charged himself out to me again, and did 50% of the work he was doing before. And then stopped showing up for work at all.
Forget stuffing about and trying to find someone yourself, Chris Ducker is the go to man for outsource staff. His Virtual Staff Finder service has found us excellent employees who have been with us for a long time.
They will do all the pre-screening and give you three qualified applicants to choose from. I can't recommend this service enough.

I saw this but wasn't thrilled with the idea of paying $400 to find a person that may or not work out for me.
This is going to be for mainly data entry in a mainstream business.

"Here in the Philippines, all employees must be paid a pro-rata amount, in December, which is known as ?13th Month?. Its basically a government mandated end-of-year bonus. As an overseas employer, and due to the fact that your VA is most probably not paying taxes on their earnings from working for you, you are not ?required? to pay it. However, if you feel an employee has done well, and is seen as part of your company?s family of staff, then pay it."
