Best Steak House in PHX
 

I have been looking online and it make no sense thins site says this is the best another says another is the best any PHX residents want to comment please!
If you are in Phoenix and go for a steak where do you go?

And I will see the rest of you guys taking your customors to the same place ;)

mastro's and mastro's city hall in scottsdale are both excellent.

Went on a Traffic Dinner meal in Phoenix, and all I remember was it was a bus ride away, but was excellent steak. Sure someone else can remember where it was. I think two years ago.

Ruth Chris is pretty good, the stuffed mushrooms - mmm.

Their Creamed Corn and Creamed spinach was very tasty.

Was there 2 days ago. They have a new combo plater appetizer; stuffed Shrooms + Shrimps + Calamare = The bomb :thumbsup
Ribeye with Lyonnaise potatoes and Sauteed spinash were delish as well :winkwink:

When you are carving through 20 ounces of great steak, sometimes the taste buds need a little relief. But yes a steakhouse is all about the meat

I'm not normally a "chain" person but Ruth Chris' and Smith and Wollenskys are wonderful.

It makes perfect sense because "the best" steak is very very subjective and for the biggest part based on emotion. There is no scientific way to determine which is best.
You can distinguish good stake from bad, but its nearly impossible to determine which is best when you have few good ones.

Smith & Wollensky is my go to chain (their carrot cake is the best anywhere); but I was really impressed with Ruth Chris as well.

id grill it myself :2 cents: head over to Kiwanis Park get some big ass idaho taters. get one of those foil pans throw some veggies in there foil the top. get another foil pan put some baked beans in there. get some t bones rub those bitches down.

The best steak house I ever went to was Peter Luger in Brooklyn,there isnt any better..

Their desserts in general, love the coconut cake. Chris LOVES their cheesecake, they fly it in from the Bronx daily. So one Vday I arranged to buy a whole cheesecake from them fresh from the Brox that day. $14/slice, 10 slices.

Durant's on central would be my first choice and then Morton's in Scottsdale, it was also known as Drinkwaters steak house. Both of these places are top of the line ;)

We always go to one of these establishments when we have a craving for a good steak.

Montis La Casa Vieja is across the street from the forum. Not the best but good and close.

I totally get the cheesecake thing, and goodgirl used to be in the same boat as Chris . . . . until I introduced her to carrot cake. It was enough to get her to learn to do it herself.

Oh, and their truffled mac and cheese is the bomb, and I don't even like mac and cheese.

At least they'll sell you a decent sized steak.. One of them says it's almost two pounds for $30!! Which is a lot, for me, but still there's value there if that is a really good steak

ive been to two ruth's chris steakhouses. both felt like funeral parlors to me. so quiet, weird pictures of birds on the wall, dark. not my cup of tea.

for chains i really like the palm. surprisingly fleming's, which is owned by outback, isnt bad either. mortons and S&W have both really sucked the last couple times i've been there.
