How do I broadcast live video to my website ?
 

Besides being a photographer in the adult industry, I am also a partner / co-owner of a once failed night club. After investing a lot of money in renovations and security, the club is beginning to boom with business.
Beginning in May, my partner and I have decided to book live bands.
(Yes we have blanket licenses from BMI and ASCAP)
My question is, how can I broadcast live bands onto our nightclubs website ?

- I currently have a ridiculous amount of bandwidth with AmeriNoc.

Google+ and youtube have some streaming solutions that might be worth looking into for mainstream, no adult or risqué though.

Google+ Hangouts through YouTube it streams realtime.... then on youtube you see a "live" sign. You can embed player like for any recorded video but it is live. There was some stream events with more than 100,000 viewers at same time (I joined to see myself), imagine you had to pay wowza or fms server hosting for 100,000+ viewers for an hour, that would cost a fortune in bandwidth and servers. In fact it is amasing if free service.

Google hangouts in youtube was done by NASA, white house, a few musicians, politicians... normal Google+ Hangouts it shows only to up to 10 of your Google plus contacts if I understand. To broadcast to youtube thre's an option, but I am unsure if for unlimited viewers you need a deal with Google or not - seems not? I guess if more people learn to use it, will be an issue for realtime moderation for Google, anyone can stream live anything....

I tried using the hangouts the other day, but as you said, I was horrified when I found my stream on Youtube the next morning as I was just testing! Holy shit!

I really would like to use Google + for streaming. However, two issues:

1. How do I make it private?
2. How do I not make it upload to Youtube?

Does anyone know?

you can setup crtpm server, its a great working streaming server and easy to setup

needs some knowledge of handling a shell to install it

works great on centos
you can do relay, playlist or feed live with a flashliveencoder (plug in camera into videocard of your computer)

no fucking ads from a third party and no subscription fees
you only pay for your own traffic, but good if you want to sell an adult related service to a limited user group

also its more performant then wowza because its coded in c++ and not in javascript and free of any license charges
