Just looked it up. The books keep insisting it was the Americans who helped the US become the US.

I personally can tell you how bad the Snail Biters suck.The only group I ever met (during my time in the military) that was worth a damn was The Foreign Legion.Now for the shocker. Every fourth soldier in the Legion was an American.Those damn garlic puffers were completely useless.

I watched a show on the History Ch. about the guns carried by soldiers during WW2.

The French made one was so poorly built you couldn't even exchange parts between them - no two were close enough to being made within the same tolerances.

They would also jam if your foxhole had any water or mud in them because of the way they were made.
