Tumblr Progress

Did you start a Tumblr blog after reading the CrakRevenue guides? How is it performing? Some of my stats from my blog:

Followers - 213
Post Count - 115
Indexed Posts - 3
Daily UV - 175

The follower count is now increasing by tens instead of ones. The unique visitor count has been steadily increasing daily with no dips as of yet. Not bad for a blog that's just a couple weeks old on a platform I don't fully understand as of yet.

CyberHustler 03-24-2013 08:51 AM

The highest challenge, is avoiding getting your blogs deleted, for promoting sponsors and doing money. Soon or late, most people suffer deletion at tumblr.

CamTraffic 03-24-2013 12:20 PM

Where are you going to link out to monetise? Fhg? Tour page? Billing page?

From where? Picture or URL in the description?

trevesty 03-24-2013 01:20 PM

I started up a new batch of 10 right around(can't remember when exactly) those were published.

All accounts suspended, though I was being fairly aggressive.

Made ~$75, though.

Were they on the same IP?

What's that? Two weeks?

The more followers you get, the quicker it grows, depending on the niche of course...

ZeroHero 03-24-2013 02:29 PM

Good luck :winkwink:

i lost one with 10k followers last month :(
In total i think i've had at least 100-150 blogs removed!

DWB 03-24-2013 03:52 PM

Prepare to lose it, cause chances are you will.

demographics1 03-24-2013 04:00 PM

Seems to be a bit like blogger in the old days - nice traffic but risky, they deleted stuff a lot.

both, also blogs without any marketing at all on them have gone, i still have blogs up but its always a case of playing catch up. basically trying to get posts reblogged as much as possible before the original blog gets deleted as reblogged posts stay alive on the rebloggers blog.

wehateporn 03-24-2013 05:14 PM

Tumblr is a place where affiliates become a victim of their own success :2 cents:

2013 03-24-2013 05:16 PM

in all honesty the threads were stupid just teaching everyone else how to spam the fuck out of shit and make money now everyone is fucked lol

It will become an arms race now with Tumblr, as they look for automated mechanisms to deal with the porn spammers. They won't want to waste too much time on us, so in come new rules/software. :2 cents:

Supz 03-24-2013 06:16 PM

is porn against the TOS? What is the reason for them banning the blogs?

No it won't, Tumblr has been used by porn marketeers for ages, they are already fully armed to fight it, the few johnny-come-lately's who read that thread won't make any difference. Most of them will lose their blogs come the next purge anyway, you have to be VERY sneaky to get under Tumblr's radar and nothing in that tut will help you to hide.

Porn is fine. Affiliate marketing is against TOS.

If you are linking out (photos, text links, banners, etc,) to anything that can possibly make you money, it's just a matter of when you will be deleted.

After my 15,000 - 20,000 follower blogs got deleted about 6 months ago I gave up making new ones. I still am getting about 600 - 700 hits per day to Crak from the residual re-blogs that still exist on others blogs.

gmgaffiliate 03-24-2013 07:00 PM

I actually didn't start my Tumblr after reading crakrevenue but I will say the dashes in the url doesn't make a difference. I can show proof it doesn't really matter. I'm #2 in google for a tumblr blog and I'm not follow their advice. If you understand seo you will know... I'm not saying that to blast them because their advice is killa... you should listen to them. but I am just saying about one aspect...

gmgaffiliate 03-24-2013 07:01 PM

A lot of people keep talking about their blogs being deleted off tumblr. I never had a problem and this is coming from a guy who's been banned on blogger, twitter and adwords before so I'm not some newbie turd... If you treat your tumblr blog like a real blog and not exploit it to the max your tumblr blog will survive...

i made a posting app that will allow to directly paste sponsors fhg, tags,
via remote to tumblr. so youll have the chance to backup all your tumblrs and repost them to another tumbl if yours gets deleted
, also
its a turbo for structured work inside tumblr .

very easy to handle, autocropping, if desired, directly posting from sponsors fhg or fhg dumps to tumblr
no need for manual uploading .

you can fill up your queue for the next 7 days in about
15 minutes if you take a couple of minutes for some smart tags (tumblr pros know what tags mean inside tumblr)

its full functional but the gui needs to be polished and ill be able to release it end of the week..

, is someone interested in having this.. ill plan selling it semi exlusive like 20 times here f
. ill decide to polish the gui if theres a demand for it

drop me a mail ruskiti at gmail com

Is't that exactly what Jetpack does?

jimmycastor 03-25-2013 06:30 AM

i guess its simpler, you just have to paste img urls , or complete fhg dumps,
and it posts to tumblr.

no need to have the content on your own servers, or wordpress
you can post straight out of the sponsors fhg list, galleys and remotly crop out watermarks (if your sponsor allows this)

or
you can crosspost from your own existing galleys , its not bound to wordpress or anything, that would slow down the working flow. after all its about having a steady flow of pics inside tumblr to get the followers

I cant afford to waste my time...

Jesse1984 04-05-2013 12:22 PM

My advice, the only link you should bother having on it is in your info and maybe a tab at the top.

Let your brand / watermark do the talking / make people curious enough to search out your actual site. If you have any candid / behind the scenes pics, use them. If you can, get models to make you a fan sign.

See if the programs you're promoting can get you any unique content [not sure who you're promoting, but it never hurts to ask.]

Thanks for the advice. That's actually exactly what I've done. I haven't added any click through urls on images or any links in posts. Just one link to my "official" site. It's another step in between a sale, but I'd rather play it safe.

Tumblr is already full of porn spam. Take a look at the bot net and blackhatworld. They have been using plugrush, juicy ads and imagetwist on there for at least a year now.

Frustrating is the images that have almost every possible tag on them.

One thing to be careful about, Is be careful who you follow. I was following whoever was following me. I saw some CP on my dashboard one day. Really brought me down.

Just engage your audience, they aren't in the habit of deleting blogs that are engaging their audience....

I guess it depends on your definition of engage.

Not that I would suggest anyone is being dishonest. But, I would imagine that a lot of the negativity and guarantees of deletion in this thread and the CrakRevenue thread are by people with Tumblr blogs who don't want any new competition. Which is why I continue to push forward.

It's a big pond, there is room for all of us :)

signupdamnit 04-06-2013 06:36 AM

Can you share about how many hours you put into this so far and how much money you made from it or is it too premature to do that at this point?

I can confirm many are making great money.

We have a few guys doing around 1000$ daily without any spam (we dont allow it).

They created interesting blogs, kept working on them daily and got their audience involved.

We have guys with HUGE facebook groups doing up to a stable 3000$ a day...they push our non nude tours and tools and it work very well.

Keep up the good work and dont take the easy route.

Yep...

They still delete blogs when not done correctly, though..

And that is exactly why I stopped doing followbacks. Now, I go through a process of
researching whomever I intend to reblog or follow. As with any free service, the CP
assholes will always be there. Fucking pieces of shit.

The blackhat guys have bots that report accouts and get adult tumble accounts shut down (facebook & yahoo too). You can buy the bots if you want to be an asshole.

ive noticed this, any account that i ever had 1000+ followers was always shut down. these fuckers are reporting their competition. also a simple email to abuse at tumblr saying such and such site is spamming will get the blog closed asap
