Tastes better in bodyshots off one of BVF's hoes.

The only way I drink port is when I mix it with Blue WKDs. Then it goes down like candy...

Spunky 03-20-2013 12:10 PM

port must be at least 15 years old.

I spent the last weekend in Solvang , I'm good on all wines for a bit. Became a member of Curtis Winery, they have a special reserve wine they only made 91 cases of, $35 a bottle, I got a few.

Stout? OP is not talking about porter beer, rather about port wine.

ps: I mostly drink only stout and porter when it comes to beers :thumbsup

Vintage port kicks ass.. I have a bottle of 1994 Vintage Grahams sitting in the cellar just waiting for an occasion to be drunk. Most likely with a good hunk of Stilton and perhaps a good cigar.

Try pairing it with different cheeses, or some dark chocolate.

I agree, that's why they make port glasses so small because no one wants full glass...lol

:1orglaugh

Yeah, I got a big shock the first time I just turned up some port to gulp!

:throwup

livexxx 03-20-2013 02:25 PM

add it to lemonade , or straight with cheese

MiLo 03-20-2013 02:52 PM

Port is usually too young or too cheaply produced to be appreciated. Same thing happens with most fortified wines.

If you want to enjoy the Port, go out and buy some wensleydale cheese.

It is a very mild, creamy cheese that has cranberries embedded in it.

Bite of the cheese, drink of the port, back and forth.

It will completely change the port experience for you.... for the better.

I've visited Portugal several times, been in Porto once but that drink over there is awesome in which ever version they serve it :thumbsup.

Goes so well with my favorite simple dish over there - piri piri chicken :thumbsup.

Port has a time and a place - Rummaging though the back of your drinks cabinet looking for something to get drunk on is not one of them.

Try it with a little bit of weed and a large helping of your favorite Ben And Jerry's - Heaven - Its not traditional but you will thank me in the morning.
