PHOENIX - Authorities are investigating what led to a west Phoenix shooting Tuesday afternoon that left a teenager dead. According to Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump, units initially responded to a shooting call of a person laying in the street near 83rd Avenue and Lower Buckeye. When police arrived at the scene, the teen was unresponsive, and a neighbor was performing CPR. According to police the victim had been shot in the chest. Police say there were three people in the home who were being uncooperative. They have been detained for questioning. It is unknown at this time if the shooting took place inside or outside the residence. Authorities believe the victim is 17 years old, but have not yet confirmed his identity. full article... |
