A Hercules Transport Plane just Buzzed my House!!
 

They have been going through steadily every three hours or so (the last time they came that often was before we hit afganistan, so there's gonna be some kind of war, but anyways). They do skim the treeline but they've never come that close.. I was looking outside my port window upstairs and the plane passed not even a foot and a half above the ridge of the roof. If I had been standing on the roof, I could have reached up to touch it. It shook the entire house like an earthquake.. I'm starting to really really fucking sick of this. Wakes my kids up at night, wakes ME up at night, ruins my stuff (it shakes it off walls and dressers and whatnot). It even put the guns on my rear projection tv out of alignment.. Grrrrr...

I wish they'd go fucking BUZZ SOMEONE ELSE FOR ONCE. THey don't even buzz the guy up the hill. Only us. Maybe we're special.

print a big banner that says "if you can read this you'll be killed at war" and put it on your roof. it might work.

Yeah well.. have you ever seen the SIZE of a hercules transport plane? They were made to carry like tanks and vehicles as well as munitions etc. They're the planes that do the supply drops. WE're not talking like an F16 (and they buzz our house on occassion, they're nothing), this is like ground shaking, terrifies my children, animals, etc. It's unreal. I'd call to complain but I doubt it would make much of a difference. I'm just a civillian after all.

Call CNN, these kind of stories can be of interest to them. i would like to see that on TV when it happens.

that way you can make some buck out of it, maybe.

MOTHERFUCKER! ANOTHER one just went over, and it's been not even an hour. What the hell is this? This one wasn't nearly as low, but they're usually at least a few hours apart. Goddamn you'd think they cool it on a saturday at least!!! GRRRRRRR

I've reported these incidents to local media, etc etc, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I guess I could take some pictures but I'm not too sure what good they will do. We're hours from anywhere that "matters".

You'll be surprised how fast pics like those'll get around.

I use 2 jump from the hercules C130, they are. Called a Blast.:1orglaugh (never had my house Blasted by 1 though:Graucho)better have you shit together when you go out the door or the Prop Blast will throw you against the side of the plane, you could be in some big trouble then. Call'm up ask for some issue ear plug's, cause they ain't stop'n until they are done.:helpme

I'm a three hour drive from the nearest airbase.. I live in the middle of the fucking woods! LITERALLY! However, they seem to have chosen the route over my house as the way to go, and it PISSES ME OFF!

I used to jump from C-130's too. It?s nice to meet a fellow Duper on GFY. I think the maneuver the pilots are doing is called map of the earth. It?s where they fly as close to the tree line as possible to avoid detection. C-130's aren't exactly fast movers so SAM's can take them out pretty easy. Sucks ass to be on standby (hooked up and standing up waiting for the green light) having to deal with the G-force of the pilots following the terrain. It would suck to be on their training route. I assume LM lives in a rural area not too far from a military base. If LM could get some media attention, maybe they would re-route the birds otherwise I don't think there's much hope. Good luck, I hope things work out.

Is it true you can fit the entire Canadian army in one Hercules? Anyway, they are probebly escaping.

I can relate. I am probably atleast 15 miles as the crow flies from the only major base in the Sacto area that is left. They have buzzed over my house a few times and it seems every Monday two large planes fly over. They are loud enough for me to see where they are. I have not noticed any increase in traffic though..


I am in the country and the houses are not cheap..
