Spam will save forests and the world

Just imagine if every peice of spam was actually printed on paper and sent to you. Sure there would be a hella lot less spam but at the cost of our natural resources.

Email Advertising = Saving the World
Paper Advertisements = Dead forests

You pick the lesser of two evils

I think that Paper Advertisements will survive for a long time... But it's annoying as fuck. I really prefer receiving email spam... :)

There was this one time when this fucking local newpaper carrier was putting their newpaper on my porch. I tried to tell her i didnt want it and to drop bringing it to me, i had like 10 of these things out there, and she couldnt even speak english. She just looked at me with a blank look on her face and continued on about her business.

I called their head office and bitch+complained...i still get these fucking things.

Kind of reminds me of the Internext, when a lot of girls are trying to give you flyers, and when you tell them you already have 15 of the same flyer, she just says "take it anyways, I have to give em all out".

You could try getting some sprinklers, and when you see the paperboy dropping the paper, you start em quick... hehe after a few times he'll get tired... :)

what pisses me off is when you stick something on your mailbox saying "no circulars, no ad paper!" and they put some in anyways. This is like when you unsubscribe to a spam list and they continue to spam you anyways...this sucks. :BangBang:

I've been trying to tell some people that for a while now...

Spam is 'earth friendly' LOL!

Wired & these other newsrags always report on how costly 'email spam' is, and never have I heard how much tax revenue or extra business sales it generates.... We get reports on how consumers are buying more and more shit online and how NIFTY that is, but never what % of those sales come from email ads...

I'm guessing that the % of sales from email is pretty damned high.

Now it's funny to watch how a lot of the states want to JUMP in on that tax revenue with their broke asses, yet at the same time cut their own throat in passing anti-spam laws LOL....

Enforcing opt-out, working contact to be removed, etc is fine, but wanting to 'rid' the world of spam is lame imo...from a financial perspective, although I'm not a financial analyst it doesn't make sense to me from the surface view.

They talk about how much money spam 'costs' the industry, isn't that called supply/demand though? Aren't big ISPs growing as a result of it? Ordering more pipe from someone, someone selling that pipe is happy to provide it I'm sure. If they need to just charge spammer accounts more b/w charges to offset their costs, etc I'm sure they'd be more than happy to oblige, the ones that are in the biz for real anyways...

PS: when I'm talking about spam btw, I'm referring to bought/traded opt-in lists, not randomly harvested stuff...

opt-in good, harvested bad

:)

ok, I hope some of that made sense, i havent' had my coffee yet...
