They took 6 B out of accounts but they borrowed 10 B and still owe like 4 B in bonds and 2 B to the Russians. So about 16,000 for each resident. Good luck going forward with debt at 100% of GDP, a shrinking GDP and sky high rates since you already needed a bailout.

The main reason the 2nd amendment is protected so firmly is not because people need to fend off burglars and potential attackers or so gun nuts can shoot targets and deer. It's original purpose was to ward of tyrannical governments should trouble ever arise. Not saying it would work, but doesn't make that any less true. ;)
