What's the average length of a sex story or how long should a good sex story be?

Most of the ones i have are between 200-700 words

5-10k to get a background set up and make a halfway decent storyline... This would be the "hook the surfer" size. :winkwink: Not sure on word counts as I never have counted.

Good thinking, except you'll probably have to modify the stories since most of them are "rape".

Sex story length depends on how detailed the writer wants to be. Background could be summed on in a paragraph or even less because mostly the readers want to get straight to the screwing.

That's not what my surfers say... Since it's mostly women that reads erotic stories, the background is very importent.. And it's also important what comes between the start and the screwing..

The main reason I asked this was I wanted to try out a Story AVS and, for example, on Sexkey I cannot find the guidlines for them as far as how many words or stories the site should contain.

With images its 30 or so, but stories? I have no idea, I suppose I could email them. I am on my way out in a few but I wanted to ask here in general to see what people thought was a good 'length' for stories and go from there.
