About 3d printing and the term Physibles

Since the pirate bay started using the term physibles for their downloadable 3d printing designs many people/sites picked it up but also 9 out of 10 people won't have a clue what you're talking about.
Anybody any idea what other words are used for these designs and what the chances are of physibles becoming THE term for 3d printer designs?

I guess this kinda answers my question.

A lot more people seem to be searching for 'physibles' (4,400/month on Google) as opposed to things like '3d printer downloads' (58), '3d printer files download' (36), 3d printer download (16), physible (720) etc. :thumbsup

Are you sure those are people looking for models to print? Sure, you can print any 3d model or blueprint, but there are lots of other uses for those, too, like 3/4/5 view drawings are considered 3d blueprints but aren't 3d printable. :upsidedow

A lot of those will be for people using a 3d modelling program, not trying to create a physical object they can hold.

Well i can imagine this if you're not at all busy with 3d printing.
Just wondering what people who are use as their preferred term.

The term Physibles is about as gay as a 3d printer

I bet it will be made illegal soon or you will need a permit.

The copyright hell will begin soon.

Honestly I kinda figured that the simple term "3DP" would take lead, as IMO it makes sense and goes along with already well used naming schemes. It's what I use in my domains, which is what I assume you are after. I kinda thought the pirate bay naming scheme was rather dumb TBH but perhaps maybe they will brand that name sort of like what "warez" used to be for pirated software.
