I lost interest in Star Wars after Return of the Jedi - I saw the other movies but they weren't as much fun as the originals. However I am looking forward to the new 'wars movies and anxious to see what Disney and JJ Abrams will bring to the table.

I don't see the logic in that... Harrison Ford went on to be huge.

Yea, he HAS to be in it. He would play a perfect older Jedi / Obi-Wan Kenobi type.

Hamill had a very successful career as a voice over actor.

Sure, he never became the star Harrison Ford did, but then again, Harrison Ford is a lot cooler than Hamill.

they wont be involved in high action scenes as much i'm sure.. I've read that they are going to be older mentor types in the first one and maybe only cameos in the later ones? Leaves for more opportunity anyway. But yeah Carrie fisher kinda looks rough... Oh and Hamil? Hamils acting ruined his career not star wars.. hehe

the spin off ideas with Han sounds like it would be pretty good as well.

The reason i said about Hamill, i can remember watching a programme about Star Wars a while ago, and he always refused to do interviews or turn up at the Star Wars conventions. He apparently said at one point he wished he was never in the original movies...

Hate to say it but I'm indifferent to the Star Wars "franchise" now. After sitting through the last 3 turds can take it or leave it.

He ended up doing some really rank roles after Star Wars - do some reading and you'll be shocked at how little he has achieved since.

As is my gripe with most movies today.. less CGI please and more plot....:2 cents:

come on! watch his acting again in empire and jedi where they gave him a chance to do and say more than some action banter--He's terrible! He's even terrible in The Big Red One, he wasn't going anywhere. Not to say i would replace him in the new ones, that would be unnecessary at this point, but he is to acting what Yoda was to grammar ;)

Tron was amazing ! star wars wouldn't be the same without the original cast
