Morgan Sommer is Riding in AIDS Life Cycle 12 This year!

Hi Everyone,

It's that time of year again when I start training and fund raising for AIDS LifeCycle. This will be my third year riding the 545 miles from San Francisco to LA and fund raising. At this point I am only $150 away from my next fund raising milestone of $5000 towards the final goal of $15,000 this year for AIDS Life Cycle 12. Any donations are deeply appreciated and go directly to helping people who are living with HIV/AIDS.

Last year the majority of the donations I received came from the amazingly generous people in our Adult Entertainment Industry! ;-) I love being a part of this business and having all of you as colleagues and friends. :thumbsup

the way that AHF is trying to destroy this industry I wouldn't really be interested in anything related :2 cents:

You go, girl...peddling your ass all over the State (not that there is anything wrong with that, and it's a good cause).

Thanks for your post ;-)

AHF is not in any way related to the organizations that benefit from the AIDS Life Cycle. AIDS Healthcare Foundation is an entirely different animal and I agree with you that it is difficult to support their causes when they use the money to harm our industry.

The beneficiaries of the AIDS Life Cycle are the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center. Both orgs give free treatment and testing to people with HIV regardless of gender, sexual orientation etc etc.

Have a great day!!

Thank you so much for your ongoing support of this ride and the cause!! It really does mean the world to me when I am pedaling up a mountain and I think about all of the friends and colleagues in our industry who have participated with donations and moral support!! ;-)

It's an amazingly beautiful trip. Seeing the coast, mountains and central valley at 11mph is pretty awesome. Doing this with 2000 riders and 500 volunteers from around the world is kind of cool too. You meet some really interesting people.

That last video you posted is one of the coolest days of the ride... we get to Bradley CA about noonish on day 3 and the kids from the local grade school and pretty much the whole town turn out to make/sell us burgers and other stuff for lunch. It's the only fund raiser for the local school and it's after school programs etc. They make about $20k a year from the riders in one afternoon. ;-)

Another Fund-Raising Mile Stone is close....

Enjoy a picture from Red Dress Day last year on AIDS/LifeCycle 2012. On Day 5 we ride about 50 miles in a dress to remember all of those people who are affected by AIDS/HIV. It's a rolling AIDS Ribbon and a visual statement of purpose/costume party ;-) At $7,700 raised so far I am just $2,300 short of my next fund raising milestone of $10,000.00 I am trying to reach this goal by April 2. If you can make a donation of any size it is deeply appreciated!

The ride is so fun... you get to see California slowly and hang some some amazing people. And by the time you have completed the full 545 miles from San Fran to LA you are in amazing condition and ready for the summer. ;-)

Gay.Sex.Com sponsors team jersey!

This year the fine folks at Sex.com have sponsored my team jersey. The Gay.Sex.Com logo will be on all 22 team member's jerseys. When they are ready will post a pic. Jman you are an awesome guy and so grateful you helped to make this happen.

Morgan Sommer 05-22-2013 03:32 PM

So much gratitude ;-)

Donations received today put me over my original fund-raising goal of $15k. Samantha and Steve Bryson of Orbital Pay, Michael Christopher of Webair, Stephen Bugbee of X2K Consulting, & Tony Rios of Channel 1 Releasing, thank you soooo much!

At the risk of appearing any more sappy than I already do.... I must express how incredibly lucky I am to be able to participate in AIDS LifeCycle with some of the best people in the world. By donating time, resources, and money to this cause you are making a positive impact on the lives people in need. I am very appreciative of all of you who have contributed so far this year!

The original goal of $15k has been surpassed! But I am going to keep working at raising more until we leave for San Francisco on May 31. So if you can please donate or re-post this link!
