Ok, i think is time to upgrade my gear.
Any guitar players out there? I want to hear your recommendations about guitar amps.... Let me hear which guitar amp you use or which one you like.. BTW: I want to stay away from the Marshall line of products. |

Nice to see more guitar players here :)
Here is my current gear: Guitars: Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus ESP VIper with EMG pickups Ibanez RG 550 Amps: Peavey 5150 Head Sovtek 100H ENGL 4x12 cab with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers Multiefx: Boss GT-5 My band plays rock like creed, tool, knickelback, etc. But i'm also into hardcore and metal. For metal nothing can beat a Peavey 5150, mybe a M.Booguie but are so fucking expensive here in Spain. Really high gain, i use it at 6 (from 1 to 10) and got more that enought gain. Great bass response, a real wall of sound. Think on Machine Head as they use that amps. I also get great clasic rock tones with my Les Paul plugged into it. I can post some mp3 from our last cd for you to check the 5150 rocking :) |

Depending on what your bag of playing is, I have some ideas.
When I play electric blues, nothing beats my Fender amp, 85 watts thru one 12 inch speaker, it totally blasts with channel switching and reverb. Its just really happening for the blues. I run a Stratocaster with Gold Lace Sensor pickups (1995 strat, is a 1959 reissue) with no effects, just the strats pickups and volume. There was an amp out a few years back called a Solando I think, They had a really wicked tone from bluesy to screaming metal. Might wanna see if one of them is around. Line6's are pretty cool too if you are into gadgets on the amp, I just alway sfelt its more shit to break. Lates Herb K |
